When at the cinema how do we experience a film and its content, especially as persons of faith?
Rev Dr Kevin Waldie sm reflects on Ecclesiastes 1:9 (“there is nothing new under the sun”). He has found it a seminal pearl of wisdom while viewing many silver screen offerings. As a reflective type of person, his enjoyment of movies springs from a deep appreciation for regular storylines featuring characters whose lives invites a response from us the cinema audience. He will take us to some recent cinema releases and how we might link our contemporary, lived universal story with the revered, sacred storytelling of Holy Scripture.
