New Zealand Diploma in Christian Studies

Diploma-level Qualifications

The time to complete this qualification is dependent upon the amount of papers you choose to do per semester. Most of our students study part-time. The Diploma is Level 6 award of 120 credits or 8 papers.

A full-time student does 120 credits a year. That is four papers each semester. All of our papers for this award are the same size, 15 credits.

  • 4 papers x 15 credits = 60 credits in a semester.
  • There are two semesters in a year 60 + 60 = 120 credit points.

On the average the Diploma qualifications may take up to four years of part time study.

Te Kupenga has applied to NZQA for approval and registration (NZDCS-CL has been approved). Te Kupenga is also applying for this Diploma to be eligible for student loans.

The NZ Diploma in Christian Studies (Level 6) consists of 3 separate strands.

All 3 strands have 8 main papers in Theology, Scripture, Pastoral Ministry and Leadership including both academic and practical work. Check out each link for more information.
